We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager.
Role Summary:
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Maintenance Manager will lead all maintenance and facility operations on site, ensuring the mechanical and electrical integrity of equipment and infrastructure. This role requires a proactive, hands-on leader who can support the team on the ground, drive the transition from reactive to preventative maintenance, reduce downtime, and deliver cost?effective improvements across the facility.
Maintenance Responsibilities:
Oversee all facility management activities, ensuring the site remains safe, compliant, and operationally efficient.
Lead the shift from reactive maintenance to a structured preventative maintenance programme, improving reliability and minimising unplanned downtime.
Provide hands-on support to the maintenance team when required, assisting with troubleshooting and job completion.
Ensure reactive, preventative, and proactive maintenance is carried out to optimise equipment performance and availability.
Support the preparation and management of the capital budget, ensuring effective planning, execution, and cost control.
Identify and implement cost?reduction initiatives across maintenance and facility operations.
Coordinate and manage contractors for both maintenance and facility?related activities, ensuring compliance, quality, and safe working practices.
Maintain and develop safe facilities, promoting an injury-free environment with strong employee engagement in line with ISO 45001.
Ensure environmental compliance for all maintenance and project activities in accordance with ISO 14001.
Establish, maintain, and audit maintenance routines within a quality framework aligned to internationally recognised standards.
Recruit, train, develop, and motivate a high-performing maintenance team.
Manage contractor selection, contract placement, and ongoing performance control.
Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience in a maintenance or facility management leadership role.
Demonstrated success in implementing preventative maintenance and reducing equipment downtime.
A hands?on leadership style, with the ability to support the team physically when needed.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data, systems, and processes to inform decisions.
Experience in people management with a proactive approach to change and continuous improvement.
Ability to work under pressure and manage challenging situations with clarity and composure.
Demonstrates enthusiasm, resilience, and structured problem?solving capability.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and delegate effectively.
