The successful applicant would be responsible for planning, preparing, and cooking high-quality meals while maintaining food safety and hygiene standards. They ensure that every dish meets the establishment’s quality and presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards.
* Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations.
* Monitor food quality, taste, and presentation.
* Receive, and manage kitchen inventory and supplies.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
* Ensure kitchen equipment is used safely and report maintenance needs.
* Work efficiently during busy service periods.

Key Skills


Applicant must demonstrate excellent cooking and culinary techniques, show team player attitude to ensure the kitchen operates efficiently. Preferably highly organised, with the ability to manage their time effectively, multitask in a fast-paced environment, and perform well under pressure. Creativity is essential for developing innovative menus and preparing high-quality dishes, while a thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene standards ensures compliance with health regulations. Strong attention to detail helps maintain consistency in food quality and presentation, and effective communication and organizational skills enable the chef to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and deliver an exceptional dining experience.

Qualifications (Typical)
