AML & High Risk Technical Specialist

Our client seeks an AML & High-Risk Technical Specialist to join their first-line operational team. In this pivotal role, you will ensure robust financial crime controls, lead the assessment of higher-risk clients, and support the organisation in maintaining a strong, compliant AML/CFT framework. Key Responsibilities: Lead and enhance AML/CFT frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies. Conduct comprehensive CDD/KYC for higher-risk clients, including complex corporate and trust structures. Validate Source of Funds/Source of Wealth and review AML concession requests. Manage ongoing monitoring, including transaction monitoring tools and risk-based periodic reviews. Deliver AML training, support accreditation programmes, and provide day-to-day operational guidance. Analyse trends, produce MI and reports for senior committees, and contribute to Financial Crime projects. Represent the first line in AML/CFT-related projects and regulatory-driven change initiatives. Prepare high-quality submissions for the HRC and maintain the PEP and Delegated Authority Registers. Lead the Business Risk Assessment (BRA) and Technology Risk Assessment (TRA) processes. Key Skills & Experience: 5+ years' experience in regulated financial services; investment industry experience advantageous. Strong knowledge of Isle of Man AML/CFT legislation, regulation, and guidance. Expertise in analysing complex structures and delivering enhanced due diligence. Proven ability to assess higher-risk profiles, including PEPs and adverse media cases. Strong analytical, investigative, and reporting skills with excellent attention to detail. Confident communicator able to influence senior stakeholders and support operational teams. Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ICA) desirable.
