We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and approachable Catering Manager to join our team at The Milntown Estate and take responsibility for the day-to-day running and development of our front-of-house catering operation.
Our café is an important part of Milntown and is often the first point of contact for people visiting the Estate. We want someone who can lead and support our existing team, maintain the friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and help us continue to improve and grow the business.
The role will involve managing and supporting the front-of-house team, preparing rotas and ensuring appropriate staffing levels, maintaining excellent customer service, overseeing stock and ordering, managing costs and budgets, and looking for opportunities to increase sales and develop what we offer.
Milntown is also a busy events venue, so you will work alongside our Events & Marketing Manager and Head Chef to help plan and deliver the catering side of weddings, functions, wakes and other events held across the Estate.
Maintaining high standards will be an important part of the role. This includes food hygiene, health and safety, cleaning schedules and other relevant procedures and regulations, working together with the Head Chef where responsibilities are shared across the operation.
This is very much a hands-on role. We are looking for someone who enjoys being part of the team and is happy to get involved when needed, particularly during busy services, functions and events.
